IPTV reseller programs: how the business actually works

Reselling IPTV is a support business wearing a technology costume. You buy credits from a provider, issue subscriptions from a panel, and then spend your time answering messages about buffering on connections you do not control. The margin is real. So is the workload, and almost nobody mentions the second part.

This page covers the mechanics, the numbers you can actually expect, and the questions to ask a provider before you buy a credit pack.

Ownership disclosure. The services reviewed on this page — TereaTV, FreeGoTV, VocoTV, BexyTV, KroozTV, ViewTVY, EarthWebTV and VinomTV — are all operated by the same company that publishes this site, and we earn money when you subscribe to any of them. Figures such as channel counts and library sizes are supplied by the services themselves and are not independently audited. Read the full ownership disclosure before you use these rankings to make a decision.

Credits, panels and what you are buying

A credit is one unit of subscription time you buy in bulk and spend when you create a customer line. A one-month single-connection line costs one credit on most panels; longer terms and extra connections cost more.

A panel is the interface where you create those lines, set expiry dates, reset credentials and see who is streaming. The provider runs it; you get an account on it.

What you are not buying is control. The servers, the channel lineup and the uptime stay with the provider. Your customers will hold you responsible for all three, which is why choosing the provider matters more than the credit price. Our provider-or-reseller check is the same one to use here.

The margin, honestly

Retail for a single connection in this market sits at $14.99 to $15 a month, or $100 to $156 a year. Credit pricing drops as pack size rises, so a reseller buying in volume works on a per-line cost well below retail and keeps the difference.

The part that gets left out: that difference is not profit, it is revenue. Out of it comes your time answering support, the customers who charge back, and the ones who churn after one month because their Wi-Fi is weak and they blame you. Ten customers is pocket money. A hundred is a job.

Exact credit rates are not published on most panels because they depend on pack size. Ask for the pack tiers in writing before you buy, and ask what happens to unused credits if you stop.

What to ask before you buy a credit pack

  1. What does a line actually cost at each pack size

In writing, per line, for each term and connection count. If a provider will only discuss this over chat and will not put tiers in a message, that is your answer.

  2. Do credits expire

Some panels expire unused credits after a period. Buying a large pack to get the best rate is a bad trade if half of it evaporates.

  3. Can I set my own retail prices and branding

Most programmes allow it. Confirm whether you can present the service under your own name, and what the provider will and will not let you claim.

  4. What is the support path when a line breaks

You will be the first line whether you planned to be or not. What matters is how fast the provider answers you, because your customer is waiting on that.

  5. Who owns the customer

Ask whether the provider can see, contact or take over your customer list. It is an uncomfortable question and the answer is worth having before you build the list.

  6. Test the service yourself first

Run the trial, then a paid month, on your own connection at peak hours. Selling something you have not used is how resellers acquire a reputation they cannot fix.

Reseller programmes on the providers we test

All eight run one. FreeGoTV's was the most developed of the ones we looked at. Credit pricing is quoted per pack rather than published, so treat the links below as where to ask rather than where to compare.

Who this suits and who it does not

It can work if you already have an audience that trusts you — a repair shop, a community group, an existing customer list — and you are willing to answer messages in the evening, because that is when the messages arrive.

It will not work if you are expecting passive income. Reselling is support work with a subscription attached, and the people who quit in month three quit because nobody told them that.

Common questions

How much can you make reselling IPTV?

It depends entirely on credit pricing at your pack size and on how many customers you can support. Retail is $14.99 to $15 a month per connection; your margin is the gap between that and your per-line cost, minus the time support takes.

What is an IPTV credit?

One unit of subscription time bought in bulk. Creating a one-month single-connection customer line typically spends one credit.

Do I need technical skills to resell IPTV?

Not to issue lines — the panel handles that. You do need to be able to troubleshoot a customer's Wi-Fi, player app and device, because that is what most support tickets actually are.

Can I use my own brand name?

Most programmes allow it. Confirm with the provider what you may present as your own and what claims it will not let you make.

Is reselling IPTV legal?

The technology and the business model are legal. Whether the content being distributed is licensed is a question about the provider, and as a reseller you are distributing whatever they carry — which is worth thinking about before you put your own name on it.
